One of the best things about Christmas
One of the best things about Christmas has to be the decorating of the tree. It’s nothing too fancy just a simple black artificial Christmas tree, but decorating it always seems like such an exciting, important event. Setting up the tree is fairly boring and the job that my dad usually gets and while he is doing that my sister and I argue over the color scheme of this year’s baubles, we have two sets- red and gold or blue and silver and we can never agree so it usually ends up being decided by my mum. We first arrange the lights onto the tree then the tinsel and finally the baubles. As we go through the boxes of old decorations we usually find some old handmade ones from our first school days and a few old candles that need throwing out. Then we get out the Christmas scented oils and stand back and admire our handiwork while the scent of Christmas wafts around the house.
