Jean Guillaume Auguste Lugol

Jean Guillaume Auguste Lugol formulated the lugol’s iodine. J.G.A Lugolhails from in Montauban southern France. He was born August 18, 1786 and died at an age of 95 on September 16, 1851.. In Paris he became a well recognized French Physician in the year 1812 and just after seven years he turned out to be an acting doctor for a well known hospital in Paris the Saint Louis Hospital. He have held this situation seriously and never left the hospital until he came for retirement.He is renowned for his invention the Lugol’s solution that’s intentionally invented to remedy tuberculosis around 1829. A very big and promising news in that time of tuberculosis outbreak. But it really hasn’t been effective inthe treatment of the tuberculosis bacteria Lugol solution was soon successfully used to treat thyrotoxicosis by Plummer. Thyrotoxicosis is often called Goiter, Hyperthyroidism and Plummer’s diesease.
