When making money on eBay you will initially just sell off things that you don’t use and are just lying around at home. You might sell an old dress, a stamp collection, old records, etc. Basically people initially use eBay as a way to sell things they don’t want anymore. But if you want to start a real business, the question becomes, “what do I sell?” It’s a good idea to look around on the site and find out what sells and what doesn’t. This will help lessen the possibility that you will waste your money paying the eBay listing fees for an item that doesn’t sell. It is definitely frustrating to get those emails from eBay saying “Sorry, your item didn’t sell.” Often, it can take hours to write a good listing and it is disheartening to learn that you spent all that time on it and nobody was interested. Sometimes, you may find that nobody has looked at your listings. Yet, other times, your listing will have several visitors but not a single bid.
